The Bracket

Note(8/28/00) You are more than welcome to try to make alliances with other people.  Only the people in the tournament can vote; even if you get voted off early, you can still vote.

Note(8/30/00):
Everyone in the tournament is allowed to have a picture of them on the site, so people can see who you are.  Also, you are allowed to have a bio of yourself.  You can list anything you want about yourself here; for example, you can list things that you have done in your life that was difficult to do and so on.  Put anything on here, you never know what might sway a vote or two.  Just email with the info/picture

What is this all about?  This is my own version of the hit TV show survivor.  The field will be either 16 or 32 people (depending on the response I get from this).  After I have all of the people I need for the tournament I will randomly select people against each other.  Then to determine who stays and who does not, I will have a democratic voting process (more about this below).  The winner goes on to the next round and the loser is out.

Who should you vote for?  You should vote for the person that would be most able to survive on a desert island all alone without anything to help him/herself other than the land itself.  This is not a popularity contest. Example:  Let's say you can't stand Keith, but you know that he would be more likely to survive on a desert island rather than Chambers, then you would have to vote for Keith.  Even if you are not friends with a person in the tournament, that should not affect your vote.

How does the voting work?  For all of the first round matches, there will be a two day span in which voting will occur.  For all second round matches, there will be a three day span.  To vote, simply send me an email (at my new address:  heydief@hotmail.com) with the subject being the person you are voting for.  Only the people in Survivor can vote.  Even if you get voted off the tournament you can still vote for the other Survivors still in.  Each matchup will have its own two day span in which voting will occur.  (meaning if there are 16 people in the tournament, there will be 8 first round matchups, therefore the first round will last 16 days).  You can only vote once (trying from two different emails addresses will not out-smart me) You can vote for yourself, but only once (per round) just like everyone else.

What do I win?  The final four will each win a picture of Dief.  The winner of the tournament will win an autographed picture of Dief (apv $20).  Also, the winner will have his/her picture on the main page of HeyDief.com for an entire week!

Other notes  This is meant to be fun.  This should not be taken literally and most importantly, personally.  All voting emails I receive will be completely confidential; no one will ever know who voted for who.  I am always open for your opinion and suggestions.  Any questions about this?
